We believe children’s ministry is far more than childcare—it’s a place where faith begins to grow. In a safe and joyful environment, we help kids discover that they are deeply loved by God. Through engaging, age-appropriate teaching, we introduce them to Jesus, share the truth of His Word, and show them what it means to follow Him. At the Kids Lobby desk, you will find trained team members to guide you through the process of checking in your child and finding their classroom. Each guardian and their child will receive an ID sticker with a claim tag and a unique code.
If you’ve been here before, you can use any of our self-service stations in both the main lobby and kids lobby to check your kids in.

To check a child out, show your claim tag to our safety team volunteers to gain access to the kids area. Then, show it to your child’s classroom teacher or assistant.
If your claim tag is misplaced, connect with one of our Crossing Kids leaders and we’ll get you squared away.

If, for any reason, you either don’t feel comfortable leaving your kids, or you need to bring your child out of the nursery or a classroom for a short time and do not feel comfortable bringing them into the auditorium, you do not have to worry about missing the service. It is live streamed on screens in the lobby for your convenience.
You can also bring your children right into the service, as they are always welcome!

Our desire to make our classrooms relevant and accessible to ALL children, this means that it is important that we inform our teachers on your child’s specific needs. While we have limited capacity, we will do our best to work with you in making accommodations in order for your child to have the best experience possible.

AGE GROUPS
NURSERY (Birth to 2-years)
Your little one matters deeply to us. Our nursery is staffed with caring, trained adults who provide a safe, nurturing space filled with age-appropriate toys and gentle interaction. You can have peace of mind knowing your child is receiving personal care and attention.

Pre-K (3-4 years)
Preschoolers learn best through play and curiosity. In our Pre-K room, children enjoy crafts, songs, and games that prepare them for an engaging weekly Bible lesson. There’s also time for snacks, free play, and plenty of laughter.

Early Elementary (5-6 years)
In Early Elementary, kids are ready to take bigger steps in their faith journey. Using the Answers in Genesis curriculum, we guide them through engaging Bible lessons that build a strong foundation in God’s truth. Each week includes hands-on activities, interactive games, and small group time that help kids understand and apply Scripture in ways they can remember.

Upper Elementary (7-10 years)
Upper Elementary kids are ready to go deeper. With the Answers in Genesis curriculum, they explore how the whole Bible fits together and what it means for their everyday life. Through high-energy games, group challenges, and meaningful discussion, they learn to think biblically, live boldly, and grow in their relationship with Jesus while building lasting friendships.

During the 9 am service, age appropriate activity boxes are provided in the lobby for your convenience. It includes some of the same activities provided in our classroom environments at the 10:45 service. To receive a box, please see one of our host team volunteers.
What are we teaching your kids?
At Crossing Kids, we use the Answers Bible Curriculum (ABC) from Answers in Genesis—a gospel-centered, chronological journey through the Bible. ABC walks children through God’s redemptive plan using the 7 C’s of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation.
Each week, kids see how every part of the Bible fits together to tell one true story—God’s plan to rescue His people through Jesus. Lessons include hands-on activities, engaging visuals, memory verses, and real-life application so children not only learn biblical truth but also understand why it matters for their everyday lives.
From Genesis to Revelation, ABC helps kids build a solid biblical foundation, equipping them to think clearly, love Jesus deeply, and stand firm in their faith.

Want to Serve in Crossing Kids?
Join us in serving the next generation at Green Valley Crossing. Applicants must be 18 years or older. If you are aged 13-18, and have a baby-sitting certificate, ask one of our Crossing Kids leaders about our junior leader program.
