Believer’s baptism

WHO should be baptized?

Baptism is for those who have personally placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

It is a step taken after salvation-never before, never to earn it. The Bible makes it clear: those who "received his word were baptized" (Acts 2:41). If you've trusted Christ but have never been baptized as a believer, this step is for you.

WHAT is baptism?

Baptism is a one-time act of obedience and a bold declaration that you belong to Jesus. It is an outward symbol of an inward reality-your sins have been washed away, your heart has been made new, and your life now belongs to Christ.

We baptize by immersion, just as Jesus was baptized, because it beautifully portrays the gospel:

- You go under the water, symbolizing Christ's death and burial.

- You rise from the water, symbolizing His resurrection and your new life in Him.

WHY be baptized?

1. Because Jesus commanded it - "Go therefore and make disciples... baptizing them...“ (Matthew 28:19).

2. Because the early church practiced it - From Pentecost onward, baptism was the first response to faith.

3. Because it's a witness to others - Your baptism is your testimony. It says to the world, "Jesus has saved me, and I'm not ashamed."

4. Because obedience brings joy - Baptism doesn't make you more saved, but it does make your faith more visible and your obedience more complete.

What about infant baptism?

You may have grown up in a religious tradition that practiced infant baptism. We respect that part of your story-but we invite you to consider that believer's baptism is not a rejection of your past; it's a fulfillment of your present faith. This is about your decision to follow Jesus, publicly and fully.
