God so loved the world…

That includes you!

We would love for you to celebrate Easter with us, right in the heart of northeastern Connecticut.

IT'S A COMMUNITY–WIDE EASTER SERVICE DESIGNED FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!

here’s what to expect

IT’S FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

We made the strategic decision a few years ago to make our Easter service FAMILY INTEGRATED. That means that your kids stay with you during the worship service. We’ve got a free gift for them when they arrive, so make sure to swing by the Crossing Kids table in the lobby to get your awesome SWAG BAG!

WE WILL SING

There aren’t many places that large groups of people get together to sing anymore, but church is one of those. Singing helps remind us about the common beliefs that we hold, and it enables us to celebrate major events in our lives. For instance, we sing Happy Birthday to celebrate someone’s birthday. We sing the Star Spangled Banner to honor our country. So, in honor of Jesus and to celebrate the resurrection, we’ll sing together.

…don’t forget to warm up those vocal cords.

WE WILL HEAR A SERMON FROM THE BIBLE

Everything we do at Green Valley Crossing is centered around the Word of God. We take the Bible seriously. On Easter Sunday, Pastor Riley will be preaching one of the most well-known Bible verses.

WE WILL HAVE A BIT OF FUN

We always try to have a bit of fun when we’re all together. It could be a game, a contest, or maybe even just a high-five. No matter what, we want you to have fun on Easter!

YOU CAN HAVE YOUR FAMILY PICTURE TAKEN

There will be a photo booth in the lobby. You can have us take your picture with your phone, or let our photographer do it with their camera (photos will be uploaded to www.gvc.life the week after Easter). Either way, it’s a special day, and we want you to remember it!

EVERYONE IS WELCOME

Regardless of your religious background, our services are designed with the community in mind. Some folks might not want to go to church on a regular basis, but they still want to celebrate Easter…

We hear you loud and clear,

You’re invited to come worship with us on April 21st. It's a service where ANYONE can come experience the story of Jesus. EVERYONE is welcome.

And yes, that means you.

As broken or as put-together as you might be, you are welcome to worship with us. No shame or condemnation awaits you here, because we're all in need of Jesus in our own way. We promise that you'll understand what's happening, and you'll walk away challenged in faith and encouraged in life!

We would love to answer any questions that you might have!

all the details

DRESS CODE: Don't worry about dressing fancy (unless you want to). Our dress code is as follows: wear clothes.

PARKING: Directional signs and volunteers in safety vests will help you navigate in all designated parking areas.

REFRESHMENTS: Water will be available in the lobby. However, please don’t bring them into the PMS Auditorium.

KIDS' ACTIVITIES: All of the kiddos will stay with parents for the entire service, and yes, they will also need a ticket. Don’t worry though - they will receive an awesome SWAG BAG full of great stuff that will keep them engaged. If you need more info on our kids ministry, check out this page!

WORSHIP MUSIC: Come expecting to sing. In the week before the event, check out our church's facebook page to find our set list so that you can get to know the songs. We usually have drums, guitars, keys, vocals, and a good bit of energy.

SERMON: Do you know how much God loves you? That’s what you’ll hear in this year’s Easter sermon!

TICKETS: Last year, over 300 people joined us for worship in our Easter service. This year, we fully expect it to be even more! Since we only have a certain number of seats, you’ll need a ticket to attend (they’re free). Get them early, as they’ve gone quickly the past few years. On Easter Sunday, we’ll wait until a few minutes before the start of the service, then we’ll fill in empty seats with folks who didn’t manage to grab a ticket, so make sure you come early to grab a seat! In the event that we run out of seats, overflow seating will be available.

That's it! You're up to speed on everything that you can expect from our Easter service!

NEED TICKETS?

Just like any event, seating is limited, so tickets will be required just like last year. Don’t worry…tickets are free! I mean…it’d Be wrong to charge people to come to church on Easter Sunday! 😀

You can pick them up between now and April 17th during any regular service at GVC, or you can have them mailed to you by completing this form:
